Overview

The Silver Plating Pen restores silver on antique silverware, plates fresh silver on electrical contacts where high conductivity is required.

Unlike many of the other pens, the Silver pen will plate directly onto most metallic substrates without an intermediate layer — the two exceptions being aluminum and chromium, which require different surface chemistry the Micro-Metallizer system does not address.

For silverware restoration, expect to use multiple cartridges per piece on larger items — the Silver Heavy Duty Pen (PL-1018) is the more economical choice once volume justifies it.
