The Chrome Color Plating Pen deposits a bright, chrome-like decorative finish — used for restoration of automotive trim, decorative hardware, instrument bezels, and similar visual-finish applications.
This is a chrome-COLORED finish optimized for portable spot plating; it is not equivalent to industrial hard chrome plating. For decorative restoration and selective re-finishing, however, it allows touch-up work that would otherwise require sending a part out to a plating shop.
Plates directly over copper. For other substrates, apply a copper flash with the Copper Plating Pen (PL-1010) before the chrome color layer.
